The girls’ and boys’ basketball teams kicked off the season at the home opener on Friday, Dec. 2 against Washington High School.

The girls’ team took a big win, holding WHS scoreless through the first half. The final score of the game was 61-7, with senior Sydney Jones leading the team with 18 points scored.

The boys’ team played a hard fought game and stayed in it throughout all four quarters. Down by 10 going into the fourth quarter, the boys held on to the end, but came up short with a final score of 79-65. Seniors Noah Wilson and Alex Wilcox lead the team with 18 points and 13 points scored respectively.

Boys’ basketball is set to play Monday night, Dec. 5 in the Huhtamaki Hardwood Classic at 8 p.m. and girls’ basketball will play Tuesday night, Dec. 6.
