Cross country competes in Greg Wilson Classic, first meet of the season

The De Soto High School cross country team had a great start of their season on Sept. 3.
Their first meet, the Greg Wilson Classic, took place at Johnson County Community College.
The varsity boys’ finished 13 out of 15 with a total of 312 points.
Sophomore Sam Hubert finished 41 out of 100 runners with a 5K time of 17:30.10 minutes. The whole boys’ varsity team had a 18.11 minute average.
The varsity girls’ finished 14 out of 16 and the the total points were not available at the time of publication.
Junior Gabby Collins finished 40 out of 100 runners and her 5K time was not available at the time of publication. The whole girls’ varsity team’s total average was not available at the time of publication.
