Christmas music contributes to the holiday spirit

When I imagine the holidays, I picture the traditional sights and sounds of Christmas. The holiday season would not be complete without Christmas music.

After Thanksgiving, the thing I most look forward to is listening for Christmas music on the radio and purchasing new holiday albums; this is where most controversy begins.

One may argue that holiday music on the radio begins to early and call Christmas music obnoxious altogether.

However, during the holidays, shouldn’t all of our senses be satisfied with the traditions of Christmas?

The feeling of the chill December air, the taste of hot chocolate with marshmallows, the sights of brightly lit homes and the smell of cookies baking in the oven would not be complete without the sounds of Christmas music.

All holiday festivities are based on tradition. If we were to get rid of Christmas music, we would be dampening the holiday spirit that we wait all year for.

If the Christmas Grinches out there still have a problem with the music on the radio, turn it off.
