Artists need to be more creative with Christmas music

Artists need to be more creative with Christmas music

Every year after Halloween, radio stations like “94.1 KFKF” start playing Christmas music. I firmly believe that Christmas music is repetitive and over glorified, and it starts way too early for my personal taste.

My problem with the music is that nothing is new. We need new music to appeal to the younger, hipster crowd. As an example, say Skrillex, a dubstep artist, was to make a holiday album, I would listen to it because I like Skrillex, but it would be a change that many people would like.

I used to like Christmas music until radio stations played the same songs over and over. Now I dislike it even more because Michael Bublé and Justin Bieber have entered the Christmas scene. Their normal music almost makes me want to vomit without them doing their renditions of Christmas favorites.

It is time to get some brand new artists that appeal to smaller groups of people because some of us are tired of hearing Deck the Halls by 10 different artists.
