Wildcat of the Week: Evan Sullivan

Wildcat of the Week: Evan Sullivan

The halls of De Soto High School are teeming with many interesting students involved in many interesting activities.

However, only one student was named Mr. Wildcat, a drum major and the junior class Homecoming Prince.

This student is Evan Sullivan.

Sullivan is involved in many activities, such as Scholars Bowl, theater, A&M Crew, pit band, symphonic band, tennis, football and weightlifting.

Sullivan is well known throughout DHS, primarily due to him being crowned Mr. Wildcat at the second annual Mr. Wildcat male pageant.

“Becoming Mr. Wildcat has definitely helped me talk to people. [Performing] on stage has definitely helped, so it’s not too scary to talk to people,” Sullivan said.

As well as being named Mr. Wildcat, Sullivan was named one of the drum majors in the DHS band.

“Being a drum major has helped me become more of a confident person,” Sullivan said. “It helps me meet more people, and it gets me involved in fun activities throughout the school.”

Sullivan has not attended Scholars Bowl practice yet due to football and the musical, but he is extremely excited to get involved.

“I’m very excited for the season. I’m ready to buzz in some answers,” Sullivan said.

Sullivan aspires to go to college and hopefully be able to major in music.

Sullivan’s accomplishments in his activities are known throughout the student body at DHS, and he continues to make new friends and be the ideal Wildcat student.
