District Band and Choir Results

On Nov. 12, 2011, students from De Soto High School auditioned for the Kansas Music Educator’s Association District Honor Band and Honor Choir. The following students were chosen to be in the group.
 

District Honor Band

Senior Joseph Buery

– 2nd chair clarinet

Senior Philip Kaul

– 1st chair alto sax 

Senior Parker Riley

– 2nd chair alto sax

Sophomore Mackenzie Lancaster

– 1st chair tenor sax

Senior Hayden Abbott

– 5th chair trumpet

Junior Jonny Hodges

– 2nd chair trombone

Senior Jaxon Hargrove

District Honor Choir

These students will perform in the KMEA District Honor Band and Choir on Dec. 3, 2011. After this, they will have a chance to audition for the state-wide honor band.
